Essential Tips to Jump Higher - What You Need to Know For Your Vertical Leap

Many athletes are looking for tips to jump higher. Slam dunking, rebounding or spiking the volleyball all depend on a good vertical leap. To gain inches you require a combination of hard work, through polymeric and strength training and stylish good technique.

It may seem counter-intuitive but keeping your feet light will enhance your springiness. Stretch out those three steps. Many people will include stutter steps as they gather up but this is the wrong thing to do. Stride out, relax and get ready to unleash.



The final step is key. Keep up your pace and go into a quarter squat. Push through the feet, imagine they are digging into the ground. Many ankles collapse at this point to the detriment of the jump. They need to remain stiff and responsive. Drive upwards with both your knees and your arms converting as much of your momentum upwards as you can.
